Our flagship program was born from a simple but urgent reality—many children are not failing because they lack ability, but because they lack support. In the villages around Tiruvannamalai, children return from school to homes where there is no one to guide them, no space to study, and no opportunity to ask questions. Slowly, confusion builds, confidence fades, and bright young minds begin to fall behind. Our Evening Schools exist to change that story.
Every weekday afternoon, over 300 children across 8 villages walk into our evening schools—not because they are forced to, but because they have found a place where learning finally makes sense. These classes are offered at no cost, ensuring that no child is left behind due to poverty. Here, children receive individual attention, academic support, and strong moral support that overcrowded government classrooms often cannot provide. As a result, children who once struggled to keep up are now performing well in their classes, rediscovering both confidence and joy in learning. Classes run six days a week from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, focusing on Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The teaching is carefully aligned with the government school curriculum, so children don’t just attend school—they begin to understand, participate, and succeed in it.
Behind this transformation is a committed team of 13 trained teachers, who undergo regular professional development to ensure quality teaching. All evening schools are also supported by a Headmaster, who builds strong connections with students, parents and school authorities—creating a support system around every child. But we believe education is more than academics. Through weekend enrichment sessions—including drawing, storytelling, sports, and life-skills activities—we create space for children to express themselves, build confidence, and simply experience the joy of childhood. Because when a child is supported, encouraged, and believed in, everything begins to change.
Classes run six days a week from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, covering Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies — aligned with the government school curriculum so students gain confidence in their regular classes.
Our 15 trained teachers undergo regular professional development workshops to ensure quality and consistency. Each school is supported by a village supervisor who liaises with parents and school authorities.
We also run weekend enrichment sessions — drawing, storytelling, sports, and life-skills activities — to ensure every child develops beyond academics.
